When we talk to a dealer principle that is considering having their dealership join forces with Campers Inn RV, it is important to be able to trust each other’s word – where a handshake is as good as any written agreement. When we shook hands on an agreement, we were both committed to turning that into reality without any false pretenses. That is how we do business and that is how Debbie, and her family, does business.”

Little Dealer Little Prices was founded in 1966 by Roy and Vivian Sampson under the name Arizona State Trailer Sales using the slogan “little dealer, little prices.” They soon became so popular for their tagline that they changed the dealership name. Well known in the state for their customer service, large inventory selection and prices, they have won numerous industry awards to include Top 50 RV Dealer from RVBusiness as well as being recognized in the RV/MH Hall of Fame. Currently they offer one of the largest RV inventories in Arizona carrying top brands from Winnebago, Grand Design, Jayco, Thor and more.

“From being founded the same year as my family founded Campers Inn RV in 1966 to their dedication to customer service and care after the sale, our values and goals were perfectly aligned with Little Dealer Little Prices,” continued Jeff Hirsch.  “I look forward to welcoming the LDLP team on board, as well as extremely proud to have current owner, Debbie Brunoforte, my good friend and fellow RV Hall of Fame alum, join our executive leadership team and help us continue to grow further in the Western region.”

Campers Inn RV Partners with Care Camps

Campers Inn RV, the nation’s largest family-operated RV dealership group, is pleased to announce that it has partnered with Care Camps, a national nonprofit that helps children with cancer attend special oncology camps, to provide support through a company-wide giving initiative.

Campers Inn RV is the first RV dealership group to partner with Care Camps with an employee giving and corporate match program. The program easily allows Campers Inn RV employees to donate any amount to Care Camps with the dealership group kicking off the program by matching employee donations dollar-for-dollar. As the partnership develops, Campers Inn intends to expand the giving program in 2022.

“We are especially pleased to be able to partner with such an incredible charity as Care Camps that not only supports our mission of helping others find their away in the great outdoors, but also our core value of supporting the communities that our dealerships serve in meaningful ways,” said Jeff Hirsch, president/CEO of Campers Inn RV. “And this giving program provides our employees the opportunity to share in the pride and enjoyment that comes along with making a difference in the life of others. I am honored that Campers Inn is able to support this cause and give back to those who will truly benefit from the healing power of nature.”

Care Camps funds over 135 oncology camps across the United States and Canada to help children battling cancer and their families find hope and healing in the great outdoors. Due to a grant from Kampgrounds of America (KOA) that covers all the administrative costs, 100% of all other donations raised for the nonprofit go directly to supporting a child with cancer and their family. Last year, Care Camps helped send children battling cancer to camp in every community across both America and Canada.

“From the first moment Jeff and Deby Hirsch and the Campers Inn team learned about Care Camps, they
were immediately passionate about getting involved and making a difference for the kids,” said Jennifer Mercer, director of development, Care Camps. “It inspired them to launch Care Camps’ first-ever employee giving contest with their team, which resulted in an incredible outpouring of pride and excitement from their employees. I want to give a big thank you to Campers Inn RV and their commitment to match the funds donated by their team members, so every gift from their employees will have twice the impact for kids with cancer and their families.”

The Hirsch family initially launched its relationship with Care Camps by hosting a golf tournament charity fundraiser in Elkhart, Indiana, during the RV/MH Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony in August 2021. The tournament raised over $17,000 for Care Camps and garnered participation from numerous RV industry professionals and manufacturers.

Performance Brokerage Services, North America’s highest volume dealership brokerage firm, advises in the pending sale of Scott Motor Coach Sales in Toms River, New Jersey from Brad Scott to Campers Inn RV. The transaction is scheduled to close by the end of the year.

In 1986, Scott Motor Coach Sales was established in Lakewood, New Jersey, by Brad Scott and his brother, Lee Scott. For over 30 years, the dealership has offered products from some of the most respected RV brands and manufacturers including Tiffin, Thor, Keystone, Coachmen, Forest River, and Dutchmen. To keep up with the growing demand, in 2019, the dealership moved to a brand‐new facility in Toms River, which features a state‐of‐the‐art 25,000 sq. ft. building on 10 acres with 11 service bays.

Headquartered in Jacksonville, Florida, Campers Inn RV was established in 1966 by the Hirsch Family. In 2010, 2019, and 2021 Campers Inn RV was awarded RVBusiness’ Top‐5 Blue Ribbon Dealer.

Jeff Hirsch, CEO of Campers Inn RV, shared the following about the acquisition, “Scott Motor Coach Sales has an excellent reputation in the market. The organization, led by Brad Scott, is well regarded by its customers, a preferred place to work, and also respected by the manufacturers. Add to those aspects that it is in a market that Campers Inn RV does not currently operate, and it is an ideal addition to our network of stores. We will now be able to better serve the New Jersey customer, and also our transient customers, as they travel the eastern seaboard.”

Brad Scott, Co‐Founder of Scott Motor Coach Sales, stated, “When I decided to sell and retire, it created a big dilemma for me. Who do I sell to? Who would be a good match for my dealership, my employees, and my customers? How do I contact them? And if I sell, I want the new owners to take care of my customers and employees the way I do. Jesse Stopnitzky and Performance Brokerage Services found the perfect match for me with Campers Inn RV. By way of their reputation, both from customers and employees, Jeff Hirsch and Campers Inn RV have a similar business philosophy, making this a comfortable decision for me.”

Scott continued, “Performance Brokerage Services was an excellent choice. Jesse & Jason Stopnitzky are very good at what they do. Jesse was instrumental in getting my dealership aligned with the best match for my employees and my customers. Their guidance through the entire process shows their strength and longevity in helping owners make the right choice in selling their dealerships. If you are considering selling an RV dealership, I recommend them very highly.”

Over the last 5 years, Performance Brokerage Services has advised on the sale of over 250 dealerships, making it the highest volume dealership brokerage firm in North America. In 2021, the company expects to consummate over 70 transactions, marking a record‐breaking year. “Rarely, do we have the privilege of working with such honorable and integral gentlemen on both sides of a transaction,” said Jesse Stopnitzky, Partner at Performance Brokerage Services and the Director of the RV Division. “As a family‐ company ourselves, we understand the importance of a strong cultural fit between the principals, and

Jeff and Ben Hirsch showed a genuine care and appreciation for the legacy that Brad Scott built. We appreciate Brad entrusting our firm with managing the highly delicate sale of his business and wish Campers Inn RV much success with their acquisition.”

Hirsch commented, “Performance Brokerage Services, and working with Jesse Stopnitzky in particular, has been a seamless process. We have felt that they helped facilitate this transaction in a professional manner, but also allowed us ‐ as the buyer ‐ to ensure that we got to know the seller on a personal level. By doing this, we were able to ensure the financial aspects of the transaction were handled while also understanding the intangibles.”

The dealership will remain at its current location at 2175 US Route 9 in Toms River, New Jersey.

Campers Inn RV looks forward to continuing the legacy that Brad Scott and his family have built. “We plan on continuing to ensure our customers have a trusted dealership for all their RV needs, and that our team members have a place of work where they can find both success and satisfaction,” concluded Hirsch.

Scott echoed Hirsch’s sentiment, “I know that my employees and customers will be happy with Scott Motor Coach Sales joining the Campers Inn RV family of dealerships. Jeff and his team will continue to grow and improve our dealership, taking it to the next level.”

Campers Inn RV’s Pre-Delivery Inspection Center in Goshen is Hiring

Campers Inn RV, the nation’s largest family-operated RV dealership group recently opened an RV Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI) Center in Goshen, Ind., and is seeking to add up to 12 positions, including RV prep technicians, RV service technicians, RV parts specialists, as well as lot porter positions for people with forklift experience.

Campers Inn RV opened the center at 18520 US Highway 6 in Goshen late last year to help streamline the RV delivery process from the manufacturer to its dealerships. The RV industry has been experiencing historically high consumer demand since 2020 and has been under immense strain trying to keep up.

Campers Inn RV will pay for service technicians first toolkit and for any training new hires may need through RV Technical Institute, a national online learning center that provides accredited training in the areas of RV service. Employees will also receive competitive pay and benefits, a consistent work schedule and continued educational opportunities as they gain experience.

“As a values-driven company, this prep center is an integral part of the service experience we provide customers,” said Ben Hirsch, Chief Operations Officer, Campers Inn RV. “It allows us to identify and fix issues with the RVs before it gets to the consumer, which allows our service centers the ability to focus more on customers who are needing service while traveling, rather than focusing on recently arrived units from the factory.

Currently, RV technician is the third fastest growing career in the U.S., seeing year-over-year growth of 97%, according to a study done by PayScale.

Jacksonville, Fla. Campers Inn RV, the nation’s largest family-operated RV dealership group, is proud to announce it has acquired Forrest Marine and RV Center, Tyngsboro, Mass. The dealership will remain under the name Forrest Marine and RV Center as it transitions into the Campers Inn RV organization.

“We are pleased to bring such a long-standing, reputable RV dealer into the Campers Inn RV dealership group to further our goal of being the RVer’s Trusted Resource across the U.S.,” said Jeff Hirsch, owner/president, Campers Inn RV. “As we are both family-operated dealerships, our values are well aligned, and I look forward to a smooth transition for employees and customers. Bruce Flanders and I have been a part of the New England RV industry and camping community since we were kids and our goal has always been to provide five-star service and quality products to help people find their away. And with the addition of the Jayco brand to our area retail offerings, it will be a win-win for Campers Inn RV and Forrest Marine and RV customers.

Forrest Marine and RV Center was founded in 1959 by two brothers Robert and Richard Boulanger. Forrest Marine has a wide selection of towable and motorized inventory to support first-time RVers all the way up to experienced RV campers from such top Jayco brands as Jay Flight, Eagle, Seismic, Pinnacle and more.

“When my wife and I were considering selling our dealership, it was important for us to sell to another dealer who is focused on the same family values and quality service we have worked hard to build and maintain over 60 years,” said Bruce Flanders, owner, Forrest Marine and RV Center. “Campers Inn RV has been a long-standing reputable dealer in the region and more than fit the family values and top-of-the-line service requirements we demanded of a new owner. We know our customers and employees will be well taken care of, especially with Campers Inn RV’s expanded network of dealerships, and look forward to watching them grow.

With this acquisition, Campers Inn RV will now have five locations in New England with two locations in New Hampshire, two locations in Massachusetts and one location in Connecticut. Campers Inn RV Named Top 50 Dealer by RV Business

KINGSTON, NH — Campers Inn RV, the nation’s largest family-owned RV dealership, today announced it has received RV Business’ 2015 Top 50 Dealer Award , which recognizes RV dealers in the United States for excellence, professionalism and business acumen. Campers Inn RV has received the award four times in the five years it has been presented. Campers Inn RV president Jeff Hirsch also received the RVDA Chairman’s Service Award, which is presented to those who make a significant contribution to the RVDA and the industry.

“We are honored to be selected as one of the Top 50 RV dealers in the country, and we thank RVBusiness and the RVDA for their support,” said Jeff Hirsch, president of Campers Inn. “We owe this award to our dedicated employees who commit themselves to giving our customers an incredible experience and helping them realize the dream of the RV lifestyle.”

Launched in 2008, the Top 50 Dealer Award is chosen by industry experts from a pool of 300 nominations. RV manufacturers of the US and Canada submitted nominations based on which dealerships they believe most exemplify excellence in their field. Nominees were invited to fill out comprehensive applications based on long-standing guidelines covering all aspects of their businesses, such as customer service and satisfaction, employee training and education, sound planning and property management. An independent panel of veteran industry experts convened for judging at the RV/MH Hall of Fame in Elkhart, Ind., the unofficial “RV Capital of the World,” to select the Top 50 award recipients.

“The applications we received this year were, by and large, the most thought-out and thorough that we’ve seen in the five years we’ve done this. And that’s a direct reflection of the quality of the applicants themselves,” stated Sherman Goldenberg, publisher of RVBusiness magazine and founder of the Top 50 program. “More and more top-notch RV dealers have really set their sights on getting this award and are working harder to earn it – this year’s competition was the toughest it’s ever been. Our 2015 winners should be especially proud of their achievement, and we sure are proud to have them.”

RVBusiness presented this year’s Top 50 awards during the Recreational Vehicle Dealers Association International Convention Award Reception in Las Vegas on November 4, 2015. Campers Inn RV received the award in 2008, 2010, 2014 and 2015 (no award was presented from 2011 to 2013). In 2010, the company was honored as a “Blue Ribbon Dealer” for being among the top 5 dealers in that year’s class. In 2014, the dealership received the Innovation Award, sponsored by Lippert Components, for its customer service initiatives and digital marketing content strategy.

Campers Inn RV operates 13 RV dealerships throughout the eastern United States, and it is celebrating its 50th year in business in 2016. The company is continuing to expand its footprint, and it has opened four new stores in 2015 in Pennsylvania, Virginia, and Georgia. It also celebrated the ribbon cutting of a location in Union, CT.

“As we grow and add new locations, maintaining our core values and a close connection to our customer and employees becomes ever more important,” Hirsch said. “This award will serve as a reminder of the standard of excellence that we strive to achieve across the company, and its principles will guide our future expansion plans.”

Campers Inn RV President Jeff Hirsch and His Family Embark on an Epic RV Adventure

KINGSTON, NH—With Campers Inn RV’s 50th Anniversary is just around the corner, Campers Inn RV President Jeff Hirsch and his family round off the 49th year of business with an epic RV adventure across the United States.

The Hirsch family began their journey on Friday, August 7 in their black 2016 Jeep Wrangler and will travel down to Alabama to pick up their brand new, custom-ordered Tiffin Phaeton QKH Class A motorhome. From the Tiffin factory in Alabama, the Hirsches will begin the RV adventure of a lifetime.

The Hirsches’ cross-country road trip will last the entire month of August. They’re following a loose plan to visit a number of noteworthy destinations including the Pacific Coast, The Wave in Arizona, Grand Canyon National Park and many other beautiful locations.

However, only a few days into their adventure, the trip was off to a bumpy start. Here’s a report from Jeff and the family:

“We got a late start to our trip on Friday at 5 o’clock, but we were full of anticipation and excited for our journey,” said Jeff. “We departed from Kingston, NH and got as far as Milford, PA last night, when we quickly realized the Jeep doesn't allow for night driving comfort. The girls tried every configuration known to man to find sleeping comfort, and I soon realized it was time to pull over—let me correct that: my wife, Deb, decided we should pull over. Unfortunately, our room's air conditioner didn't work, and we had a tired family. We've all concluded we can't wait to get to the comfort of our new Tiffin.”

Here are the destinations the Hirsches have visited so far on their way to Alabama:

8/8 — Shenandoah National Park and Luray Caverns in VA

8/9 — Nashville, TN

Campers Inn RV Acquires Clem’s RV and Media Camping Center

Campers Inn RV, the nation’s largest family-owned RV dealership, is pleased to announce the acquisitions of Media Camping Center of Hatfield, Pennsylvania; Clem’s RV & Trailer Sales of Ellwood City, Pennsylvania; and Clem’s RV & Trailer Sales of Stafford, Virginia. The businesses will reopen as Campers Inn RV locations serving the Philadelphia, Pittsburgh and greater Washington D.C. regions, respectively. Media Camping Center’s location in Media, Pennsylvania is not part of the acquisition and will remain operational.

“By joining the Campers Inn RV family, our store benefits from the resources of being part of a larger organization, and that will present opportunities to better serve our customers,” said Hadden Smith, president and general manager of Media Camping Center. “That’s what excites me, personally. We’ll be able to deliver an even higher level of product and service for RVers in our area.” Smith will continue with Campers Inn as the General Sales Manager of Campers Inn RV of Philadelphia.

Smith’s parents, E. Hadden and Bobbie, founded Media Camping Center in 1965, and they opened the Hatfield location in 1972 as a Prowler travel trailer dealer. The company has dutifully served the camping needs of eastern Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland and New Jersey with its full-service sales, service and parts business.

Clem’s RV & Trailer Sales, founded by steelworker Clemente Giancola, Sr. and his wife Helen, has remained a family-owned business since Clem began selling Bee-Line trailers out of the family’s driveway in 1964. Built into a regional powerhouse by the Giancola family, the business is the nation’s oldest Coachmen dealership and opened its Stafford, Virginia dealership in 2013.

“I’m sure that if I wanted to put the word out that Clem’s was for sale, I would have had many suitors,” said Randy Giancola, president of Clem’s RV & Trailer Sales. “But the more I got to know Jeff Hirsch and understand the similarities in our businesses, it became clear that if there’s anybody who can carry on my mom and dad’s legacy, it’s Jeff and the Campers Inn RV team. I feel blessed to have the opportunity to share that legacy of customer service and what the recreational vehicle lifestyle means for families all along the East Coast.”

With the addition of these three new locations to its dealer network, Campers Inn RV grows to thirteen full-service dealerships and extends the company’s ability to provide excellent sales centers, reliable RV service and convenient parts and accessories stores to customers all along the eastern U.S.

“I am extremely proud to welcome these outstanding businesses into our organization, and, as we do so, we are mindful to consider what the Smith and Giancola families created before us,” said Jeff Hirsch, president of Campers Inn RV. “These businesses are built on the foundation of dedication and service to the customer. We are tasked with continuing their tradition of integrity and corporate citizenship, but that is exactly why we chose to acquire these businesses over any others. We are honored to carry that legacy forward.”

A Message from Campers Inn President, Jeffrey Hirsch

Dear friends,

I hope this letter finds you all in good health and good spirit. The camping season will soon be upon us and the outlook for 2015 is bright.

Earlier this month I was honored to be presented with the David J. Humphreys RV Industry Unity Award by the Recreation Vehicle Industry Association. Receiving this distinction inspired me to reflect on my career and my lifelong endeavor, Campers Inn. In doing so, I find my thoughts returning time and time again to the same thing — you, our wonderful employees.

I want to express my deepest gratitude for your commitment to our company’s success. All your hard work and dedication empowers me to devote my time not only to the growth and development of our business, but also to the health of the entire industry.

The Unity Award sends a powerful signal to our partners, clients and competition that supports our ongoing growth strategy. It communicates the culture we’re building every day at Campers Inn and broadcasts the message that our company is an exceptional business partner and industry steward. We have been acknowledged for Campers Inn’s leadership and given the shared responsibility and privilege of paving the way for our industry’s future. We will do this together with pride.

We didn’t choose our work in the hope of receiving awards and recognition. However, the Unity Award is a truly special honor. Let it not be my award alone, but one we share. We should receive this accolade together as a validation of the work we’re doing and the core values that drive everything we do at Campers Inn.

I am invigorated by our successes and inspired for the future of Campers Inn and the RV industry.

Thank You,
Jeffrey Hirsch

Campers Inn Acquires Atlanta-area RV Dealership Peco Campers

Campers Inn hits growth milestone with its tenth full-service location

KINGSTON, NH/TUCKER, GA — Campers Inn, a family-owned RV dealership headquartered in Kingston, New Hampshire, is pleased to announce the acquisition of Peco Campers of Tucker, Georgia. The dealership, which will be Campers Inn's tenth location, will remain open and will henceforth operate as Peco Campers, A Campers Inn Company.

"Our success has enabled us to grow the Campers Inn family and we are delighted to welcome the newest member, Peco Campers," said Jeff Hirsch, CEO of Campers Inn. "We are excited about the opportunity that comes with entering the Atlanta-metro area and proud to add such an outstanding operation to our business. This acquisition should clearly demonstrate our commitment to a growth strategy that will see us further develop our presence in the Eastern United States."

Founded in 1963 by Guy and Gladys Adams, Peco Campers has remained a family-owned and operated enterprise managed by sons Guy, Ken and Neal Adams. The business moved into its current 10- acre site in 2000, and is located just four miles from Georgia's popular Stone Mountain Park. Peco Campers has been the top-selling towable dealer in Georgia since 2006 when Statistical Surveys started reporting for the state.

"Our companies' histories and principles are quite similar and I have every faith that the Hirsch family and Campers Inn will maintain the standard of value and service we've established in our fifty-one years of business," said Neal Adams, President of Peco Campers. "We wish them many years of continued success."

"Peco's health, longevity and sterling reputation in its community are second to none," Hirsch added. "Campers Inn will surely benefit from the time-tested business culture established by the Adams family, and the incredible work ethic they instilled in their employees. I'm honored to carry on that legacy."

Campers Inn was recently selected as one of the RVBusiness Magazine's Top 50 Dealers in North America and honored as the winner of the 2014 Innovation Award. For more information about Campers Inn, visit www.CampersInn.com, Like Campers Inn on Facebook or Follow @CampersInnRV on Twitter.

Campers Inn Named Most Innovative Dealer by RVBusiness

New Hampshire-based RV Dealer Also Selected to the Top 50 Dealerships in North America

KINGSTON, N.H. — RVBusiness Magazine recently honored family-owned RV dealership Campers Inn, with its nine East Coast locations including a flagship dealership in Kingston, N.H., by presenting the company with the 2014 Innovation Award. The Award, sponsored by Lippert Components, Inc., recognizes the company for its creative, outside-the-box marketing and operations. Campers Inn was also named as one of the RVDA's 2014 Top 50 RV Dealers in North America.

"We couldn't be more grateful for this recognition from RVBusiness and the ongoing support of the RVDA, as well as the industry at large," said Jeff Hirsch, CEO of Campers Inn. "With so many exceptional people working in and around the RV industry, this award serves as a testament to the passion of our employees and Campers Inn's commitment to providing outstanding service and upholding our core values."

RVBusiness points to several recent customer service initiatives at Campers Inn that made the company a natural choice for the award. The dealer recently introduced the We Care program, a 24-hour customer service hot-line and email inbox where customer concerns are addressed directly by company management. Additionally, a customer satisfaction survey initiative and a thorough digital content strategy have improved the dealership's client relationships and established Campers Inn as an online resource for RV lifestyle information. Recreation vehicle manufacturers nominated dealers across the United States and Canada whom they believe best exemplify excellence in their field. Nominees were invited to fill out comprehensive applications based on long-standing guidelines covering all aspects of their businesses, such as customer service and satisfaction, employee training and education, sound planning and property management. An independent panel of veteran industry experts convened for judging at the RV/MH Hall of Fame in Elkhart, Ind., the unofficial "RV Capital of the World," to select the Top 50 and special awards for Service and Innovation.

"Our judges had a difficult task this year in picking just 50 out of all our very qualified applicants, especially considering the significant consolidation the RV industry has experienced over the past five years, as with many commercial sectors, so the pool of proficient candidates is somewhat smaller than before," stated Sherman Goldenberg, publisher of RVBusiness magazine and founder of the Top 50 program. "Our 2014 winning dealers are unquestionably the cream of the crop. We couldn't be prouder of this year's class."

The RVBusiness Top 50 dealers and special award recipients were honored during the 2014 RV Dealers Association International Convention/Expo at Bally's Las Vegas at a Nov. 12 awards reception underwritten by its sponsors – Ally Financial, Inc., Blue Ox, Cummins Power Generation, Dometic Corp., Freightliner Custom Chassis Corp., GE Capital Commercial Distribution Finance (CDF), Lippert Components Inc., Protective Asset Protection and NTP-STAG – and in cooperation with the Recreation Vehicle Dealers Association (RVDA) and RVDA of Canada.
